Daniel Prophesies Yeshua the Messiah
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem until the Messiah the Prince shall be seven sevens (shevuim: 7 x 7 = 49 years), and threescore and two sevens (shevuim: 62 x 7 = 434 years): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. (69 “weeks” is therefore 434+49=483 years total.)
According to both secular history and the Bible “the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem” was issued by the Persian king Artaxerxes in 457 BC (Ezra 6:14-15). Add 483 years to (-)457 BC and you get (+)26AD, for the start of the Messiah’s prophesied public ministry. Figure in his actual birthday of September 23, 3BC, the first day of the Feast of Succot (Tabernacles) that year (in fulfilment of another prophecy), and you get an age for Yeshua of 29 years, precisely as the Renewed Covenant Scriptures state he would be (Luke 3:23).
Since this prophesied date is well-established by both secular historians as well as the Bible, and since it has long ago come and gone, it should be obvious that no other person may now claim to be the prophesied Messiah.
If it’s not Yeshua of Nazareth, it’s no one. HalleluYah!
